- As per most STi’s, condoms/dental dams only reduce your chances of exposure
- Having no symptoms does not mean you don’t have it
- Common symptoms are a painless sore or a rash
- You wont detect this bacterial infection in the blood right after you contract it, although everyone is different it is commonly only detected 4+ weeks after exposure
- depending on the time of exposure, a negative test may just mean it has not yet activated the immune system, keep track of the timing around your hook ups and your testings
- it’s not gonna live on surfaces, it needs a host, transferred from skin to skin not just through fluids (so you won’t pick it up just from being in the facility!)
- if you were at steamworks on March 9, 17, or 18, inform a doctor of the date you may have had exposure and listen to their advice.
- if everyone did the deed of of staying on top of tracking, it could be eradicted 🙂
