a question about parking. Is the parking in the back area safe? I also understand that the lot can get full.
Not being from the area is this a rough end of the city? Is the street parking nearby safe aswell Which I understand it required to pay.
Would there be a reasonable place to park that is safer and I could take a scooter or an uber?
I drive up from Red Deer and have only ever been able to park in the back twice but had no issues both times. When it is full I usually park in the lot behind the plaza on the other side of Jasper Ave and have had no issues there either. Caveat to this being I have only ever come during daytime hours (11am-9pm is my range) so things could be different in the evening but from what I can tell I wouldn’t classify it as a shady area.
I’ve parked in the back plenty of times and I’ve never had a problem. And sometimes if you know how to parallel park you can find spots on 117th St.
I’m a big fan of parking in the back! Sometimes it is a tight squeeze though.
It really can depend on the day, I've come in to the back parking lot without any issues, others I've parked on the street just east of SW just before you pull into the alley way.
In terms of safety I've personlly never had any issues from either parking spots, but I do acknowledge it's a Jasper Ave alley but there's normally enough other people going to SW or the lot is full enough I don't see it being a massive issue.
just remember Jasper ave in front is under construction so its a bit of a mess, I have parked on Jasper but u can't now until construction is done.
